What is Counselling and Psychotherapy?

Counselling and Psychotherapy treatments are widely used to assist individuals, couples and families. Counselling typically deals with present issues that are easily resolved on the conscious level whereas psychotherapy intensively and extensively examines a person’s psychological history.

The Process:

  • The client and counsellor set aside time in order to explore difficulties which may include the stressful or emotional feelings of the client.

  • A safe place to work through difficult feelings, experiences or behaviours, with a goal of facilitating positive change.
